Plot

Han Solo and his new co-pilot droid Leebo arrive at Hoth to deliver supplies to the rebel base stationed there. Before Han can meet with Ben, though, the base is attacked as Han was being followed on his way to the base. Although the rebels make their way through the fleet, the Imperial Force destroy the generator, stalling the Millennium Falcon inside the hanger until the doors could be opened. Ben can escape as he has his craft outside the base, but Han has to activate the emergency power source and battle his way through an AT-ST to escape the base. Han then goes through an Imperial squadron outside Hoth, and manages to escape and go into warp drive.

Han then goes into research and tracks down the bounty hunters that had kidnapped Chewbacca for ransom. He goes through a disused carbonite factory and finds Boba Fett is responsible for the kidnapping. He battles his way through some of the thugs to escape from the base and head over to Tatooine. Han believes that Fett is plotting to assassinate Ben to stop the Rebel forces, ordered by Prince Xizor, an ally of the Imperial Empire. Han finds out inside a carbonite factory that Fett is hiding out on a moon of the planet Gall, and defeats some thugs along the way to get out and hunt down Fett.

On the moon of Gall, Boba Fett is plotting to assassinate Ben, believing that getting rid of him would aid the Imperial Empire in the process. Han defeats Fett, though he gets away and orders a swoop biker gang to dispatch Ben for him. Han defeats them as well, and finds Ben in time to get him out of the planet for his own safety. Ben and Han go onto the freighter Suprosa and discover plans for the new base on Tatooine, and find that the base is heavily armed with Imperial forces, making an attack on that base impossible by themselves.

Princess Leia arrives shortly after to pick up the plans obtained by Han and gave out information that Chewbacca was located inside a jail cell inside Imperial City. Han goes under the sewers of Imperial City and defeats a sewer monster to get inside the castle; he blows up the main gates and Ben and Leia are able to get inside. After making their way through Xizor's castle, Boba Fett, now as a personal bodyguard to Prince Xizor, battles with Han; Fett is defeated, though it is questionable whether or not he lived. The group finds Chewbacca and agree to split up; Han and Leebo are onboard the Millennium Falcon, Ben is onboard his X-Wing, and Leia and Chewbacca are onboard the Outrider, another ship similar to the Falcon.

The group chase down Xizor to the Skyhook, the military space station located above Imperial City. Han gets inside the space station and blows up the main core, causing a chain reaction which eventually blows up the entire space station. However, he has trouble getting into hyperdrive, and the station blows up. Han is later revealed to have actually gone into hyperdrive, Leebo asks why he isn't informing the rest of the group, to which Han replies, "It's good to be remembered as a martyr without actually being dead, wouldn't you say?" Ben and Leia assume Han died, but he is honoured with his contribution to the Rebellion.
