Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code, otherwise known as The Eternity Code or Artemis Fowl III is a Yr24 film made and directed by Michael Belsø. The film starred William McArthur as the leading actor, as well as having Shayne Dawson, Ray Austin and Benjamin Curtis reprise their roles.

Plot

The film starts with Artemis and Anakin listening to a news report by the state government, when suddenly it gets interrupted by an unknown source, and it suddenly ends. The two don't think about it very much, until they try and access their bank accounts and find out that's been hacked as well. Artemis goes to where Watto used to have his shop and finds out that it had been hacked as well, therefore assuming every computer got hacked by an unknown source. Artemis immediately pins the blame on the Empire.

Trying to figure out the problem, Anakin finds out that there is a weapon stockpile around where the base was in the Oasis Jungle. He also says that if the stockpile blew up as a result of the hacking, the entire planet would blow up. Artemis figures out that General Grievous, the leader of the Tatooine army, is the main force in keeping the stockpile. He says that it is absolutely necessary to keep the army in check, though Anakin and Artemis know that is not the case. Artemis and Anakin find a file through hacking attempts that Grievous and Sidious were colluding together, but their plans fell apart.

In order to get help, Anakin has to break into the communications system they have at their home to bypass the channel that the government uses. Qui-Gon, meanwhile, goes and hunts for extra machines. He a cruiser that he used in the first film, even though it is outdated and low on "hydroxide fuel," which is also no longer made. Qui-Gon claims that there is enough fuel for about a trip and a half, and he says that he's retiring as a bounty hunter until he can find another ship. His attempt at reviving Anakin's old cruiser does not work due to rust.

Artemis and Anakin know that if the planet blows up, not only will civilization be destroyed but the surrounding planet's orbits will be disturbed as well, saying that it will take "about five years" for the planets to go free of their orbits, which is when the surrounding planets will have no purpose whatsoever. Anakin attempts to hack into the system while Artemis, unable to go through the Devil's Desert, uses the cruiser to get to the Oasis Jungle. There, he meets Grievous, who battles with Artemis over the stockpile. Grievous is beaten easily, and Artemis encounters with Darth Sidious briefly, saying that Artemis "is strong with the dark side." Artemis is asked to join him, but Artemis refuses point blank. Artemis then fights with Sidious while he tries to find the safeguard that controls the stockpiles, and eventually disables it, allowing Anakin to find (and break) The Eternal Code. The stockpiles are disabled, and more importantly, all the computers return to normal.

Artemis has to make his getaway before having an opportunity to defeat Sidious once and for all, for his own safety and so that Anakin can have the fingerprint lock to activate another code that will be untouched by anyone else. Artemis runs out of fuel halfway through the journey (as expected) and glides through Mos Eisley until he goes to the podracer bay, where he crashes into the paddocks. Artemis, barely surviving, is able to activate the code lock and protects Tatooine for all time.

After the crash, Artemis ended up less physically fit and resigns as deputy chief. He does, however, store his lightsaber that he got from Master Ben safely, where he plans to teach his knowledge to another padawan in the future.
