The 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup is the 15th edition of the competition and the 25th overall regional championship for CONCACAF. The host country is Canada, who will host the tournament for the second time overall after hosting the 2015 tournament.

Mexico came into the tournament as the defending champions, and if they win this tournament, they will represent CONCACAF at the 2021 Confederations Cup. Should another country win the tournament, they will face Mexico in a playoff to determine who represents CONCACAF in the Confederations Cup.

Participating Nations

All three top teams of the North American Zone automatically qualify (and Canada qualify anyways as hosts), and Micronesia qualifies through a playoff match with fifth place of the Copa Centroamericana. The Caribbean Cup and the Copa Centroamericana all have four berths into the Gold Cup.
