The remaining three conferences, CONCACAF, CAF and AFC, were each given one berth each, so that all the conferences would be represented by at least one team.
However, during the signups for the Club Super Cup, the CAF said that their teams would be unable to make the trip to the neutral site of the finals. As an alternative, the CAF was allowed to submit a national team as their berth. As a result, the CAF will hold an international friendly tournament to determine their berth. The AFC, facing similar issues, will enter a mix of clubs and international teams to determine their berth.
